Rune Essence - 200 XP (1 Noted Essence and 1 Un-Noted Essence per Mine)

Copper Ore - 421 XP

Getting Started -

To start the 'Mining' skill, trade with Nurmof in the 'Skilling' teleport and buy a pickaxe if you don't already have any kind of pickaxe.

Whenever you are in the Skilling area, Nurmof will be seen on sight so you cannot miss him. Trade with Nurmof and buy the pickaxe you would like to use for mining.

NOTE: Nurmof only has pickaxes up to Mithril. Adamant and Rune Pickaxes are either bought from other players or dropped from Baby Dragons or Baby Blue Dragons.

Baby Blue Dragons drop Adamant and Rune Pickaxes.

After you have bought the pickaxe you want, begin mining the ores.

Mining Runite Ores -

When you have gotten 85 Mining and ready to mine some rune ores, there are 2 areas to mine Runite Ores.

Area 1) Go to your Spell Book and click 'Pking'.

The second interface will appear and now find 'Warzone' and click it.

After you have been teleported to Warzone, go a bit north and you should see a Rune Rock towards the middle of the room.

Once you get a load go south and there will be a lever, pull it and you will be teleported back Home.

Area 2) Go to your Spell Book and click 'Minigames'.

The second interface will appear and now find 'PVP' and click it.

After you have clicked on the 'PVP' option, Vannaka will warn you about the unsafe Minigame.

NOTE: If you are afraid to lose your items, since it's a pking area, I would prefer to bank my items because players PK there to kill the Rune Miners most of the time. Same goes for Warzone.

Once you are ready to go mine your rune ores, click 'Click here to continue'. Then, another interface will appear and again if you're ready to mine your rune ores, click the 'Yes' option, if not click the 'No' option.

Once in the PVP area, head a little southwest towards the middle to find the Rune Rock.

Now here you can teleport yourself out. Once you are ready to teleport home with your ores, just go to the Spell Book and click 'Home'.
