rain can smd >.<

Yesterday morning. I was awoken to a thunderclap. Then I went back asleep. Then. I smelled something funny.

The sewer was backing up and water started to seep up from the storm drain, in the middle of my basement. This is the 3rd time that it happened this month!

But I wasn't to be dettered by the rising water! I got my vacuum and quickly tried to suck up the water seeping into my house.

But I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to keep up. So i did the next best thing and got everything off the floor. I was right.

Then I went outside, and I was greeted with this sight.



So that gave me a taste of what would happen. That's a manhole under there, in case you haven't figured it out. I've never seen the water level that high, and It was raining harder before I had taken that picture.


This is how bad it had gotten in my house. Water had gotten to EVERY LAST SPOT



This is where the flood started, the center of my basement. The black hole you see is the storm drain the water came out of. The last time it happened, the flood would only be restricted around this area. But this time, it took up the whole basement. It even reached the far corners.
